To address that issue,Aexeon Technologieshas released an unmanaged media converter—the FCU-5002-SFP—for point-to-point fiber connections over long distances. Aaxeon is a developer and supplier of device networking and industrial communication products focused on the machine-to-machine and industrial Ethernet markets. This new converter is the company’s first 10G media converter and it offers 2 SFP+ ports and supports 3R optical signal regeneration.
