Lexium MDrive integrated motor products are now available with two proven, widely used industrial fieldbus technologies: Ethernet protocol including EtherNet/IP and ModbusTCP; and CANopen protocol. Lexium MDrive fieldbus products deliver the same benefits – including compact design, reduced wiring, improved machine reliability – to robust networking systems for industrial automation.
Paul Kling, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, SEM USA states: “Globally, Ethernet commands a leading market share in industrial automation, with CANopen another well-established communication protocol. Both fieldbuses feature standards that ensure consistency and ease of implementation for all vendors and products. With the availability of Lexium MDrive fieldbus products, reliable integrated motors are available for a majority of industrial automation systems.” To learn more about Lexium MDrive products, go to www.motion.schneider-electric.com/lmd
LMD products with internal encoder also include hMTechnology. hMT closes the feedback loop, which eliminates many negatives traditionally associated with stepper systems and offers a lower cost solution for a range of servo motor applications. A variable current/variable torque control feature can also reduce heat, save energy and lower operating costs in a wide variety of motion applications.
For ease of use, an intuitive user software suite is provided for all product versions. And all Lexium MDrive products are backed by an extended warranty that doubles the previous 2-year coverage period to 4-years.
Lexium MDrive products are currently available in two motor sizes, NEMA 23 & 34, with operating power range of 12 up to 70 VDC. An expanded product line, including additional NEMA motor sizes and communication protocols, will debut at PackExpo Las Vegas, September 23-25, at the Schneider Electric booth #5650.
