A developing trend among automation component suppliers is to offer modularized products for ease of integration into existing system designs. A new example of this type of offering is the CKL linear module, a part of the CKx family of compact linear motion modules fromBosch Rexroth.

With an ironless linear motor and Ball Rail system, the CKL module is designed for applications where high levels of positioning accuracy are required, such as pick-and-place handling systems, feed units, loaders and palletizers.

Bosch Rexroth claims that by using an ironless linear motor in the module, no mechanical drive elements are required to execute movement, making for a wear-free and zero-backlash drive for precise positioning and long service life.

Designed for incorporation into existing system designs using Rexroth’s EasyHandling products, the CKL module comes with pre-configured connections for power, measuring systems and hall sensor adaptors, as well as clamping fixtures with centering rings designed to fit with other Rexroth linear modules and aluminum structural framing.

The CKL Compact Module features:
• A variety of pre-configured lengths up to 5500 mm;
• Travel velocities up to 5 meters/second;
• Acceleration up to 150 meters/second;
• High load ratings and high rigidity;
•无接触式驱动器,没有运动部件;和
• Low maintenance costs due to wear-free motor and central relubrication options.
