BitFlow, the leading manufacturer of frame grabbers for machine and medical imaging, is now offering the Karbon CL4-SP, a special single-camera version of its Karbon-CL, designed to handle the latest 80-bit 85 MHz cameras. These are the fastest cameras supported by the Camera Link standard.
Adaptable with its highly configurable acquisition engine, the Karbon CL4-SP frame grabber fits OEM environments, as well as scientific research labs. Applications include machine vision, medical imaging, intelligent transportation systems, high-definition graphics, and quality control.
"BitFlow developed the Karbon CL4-SP in response to OEM demand. To increase value, unnecessary components were removed from this single-camera configuration, although it can still acquire from any base, medium or full 80-bit CL camera made today," said Donal Waide, Director of Sales & Marketing for BitFlow. "The Karbon-CL4-SP is targeted at OEM customers that deploy products using only one camera, and therefore don't require the flexibility offered by our standard CL4-F model."
BitFlow FlowThru technology, incorporated into the Karbon CL4-SP, eliminates the need for on-board frame buffers, even with the fastest CL cameras. Comprised of a user-programmable Video Pipeline, along with a flexible Camera Control Unit, high-speed video FIFOs, and a highly-optimized scatter/gather DMA engine with burst rates up to 2.0 Gb/S, the FlowThru architecture allows the Karbon CL4-SP to control, acquire, reformat and transfer video data directly into the user's application at camera speeds with zero latency or CPU usage.
的Karbon CL4-SP,像所有BitFlow帧的吸引力runs on the BitFlow SDK. The current SDK release is the result of over 12 years of experience writing drivers for camera interface hardware, and our engineers have years of experience in this same area before they started at BitFlow. The goal has always been the same; to produce an easy to use and learn SDK, one that isn't bloated with 1000's of functions that you'll never use, but has enough power and flexibility to help you get your application written quickly and efficiently.
The Karbon CL4-SP will be on display at BitFlow's booth (510) at The Vision Show, scheduled for April 15-14, 2014, in Boston. In addition, the company will be showcasing its full line of new CoaXPress frame grabbers, including the Cyton-CXP™ that supports up to four CXP-6 cameras at speeds from 1.250 to 6.250 Gb/S.
