Banner Engineering Hazardous Area Indicator Lights Provide Clear Status Indication for Global Applications

Banner Engineering introduces the EZ-LIGHT® K30L and K50L Hazardous Area Indicator Lights. Featuring extensive ATEX and CSA approvals, the indicator lights are safe to use in every classified zone or area in North America and Europe—their IECEx approval means quicker authorization for use in locations outside Europe and North America.

To accommodate diverse hazardous applications, the K30L and K50L are available in intrinsically safe (Ex ia), encapsulated (Ex mb/Ex ta) and non-sparking (Ex nA/Ex tc) models. The indicators also offer enhanced display flexibility, featuring five colors-green, red, yellow, blue or white-with up to three colors in one device. To eliminate false indication from ambient light, the indicator appears gray when turned off.

"Lighted operator guidance in hazardous areas is no longer a challenge with our K30L and K50L indicator lights," said Chuck Dolezalek, Chief Lighting Engineer, Banner Engineering. "The indicators' capability to perform in virtually any hazardous environment worldwide, combined with Banner's long-lasting LED technology, allows our customers to employ a reliable industrial lighting solution no matter the application demands."

The K50L features Banner's industry-recognized housing model, while the K30L provides a compact, 30 mm diameter housing option for single-point applications. For reliable operation, the IP67/IP69K indicator lights can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 50 degrees Celsius (-40 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit).
