Automation and energy management vendorSchneider Electric(www.schneider-electric.com/us)has named Mary Ramsey senior vice president of the company’s U.S. Industry Business , one of the five core U.S. businesses of the $26 billion multinational corporation. Ramsey replaces Andy Gravitt, who announced his retirement, effective February 1, 2012, after nearly 20 years with Schneider Electric.
Ramsey will report directly to Clemens Blum, global Industry Business executive vice president, and will be responsible for spearheading the overall sales and growth strategy of the business, whose customers are machine builders and industrial end users.
“Mary has an extensive background in the Industry business and a proven track record of driving growth and customer passion in our business,” said Blum. “We are in a unique position to help our customers reduce their energy, optimize their efficiencies and streamline production. Mary has the leadership capabilities and deep understanding of our solutions and customers to lead these efforts.”
Ramsey earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky, as well as her master’s in business administration from the Loyola University Graduate School of Management in Chicago.
