At the Embedded World 2018 event in Nuremberg, Germany, Wago showcased its PFC100 andPFC200控制器. Highlighting the industry trend toward openness in automation, these controllers feature a Linux operating system so that they can be programmed using a variety of languages—from IEC 61131 to Python to C/C++. The controller can also be used as an Industrial Internet of Things gateway with its openVPN, IPSec and Transport Layer Security as well as a built-in firewall. Widely used protocols such as OPC-UA and MQTT are also supported.
