The computer is housed in an extruded aluminum chassis performing as a heat sink to dissipate heat build-up. Its compact size of 7.9 x 7.9 x 2.56 inches (200 x 200 x 65 mm) makes it suitable for space-challenged applications. The unit is powered by an Intel 3rd Generation Core i7 mobile processor and features 2-gigabit LAN, two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, serial/RS-232, e-SATA, Intel HD4000 graphics, two DisplayPort connections and DVI-I and audio in/out ports. The unit also supports up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory and has optional built-in 802.11 b/g/n wireless networking. The computer ships with a 120 GB solid state drive with SSD options up to 480 GB providing for superior operating speed and protection against vibration and shock. Systems are compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, 8, XP, Embedded and Linux and can be custom configured to meet the exact needs of the OEM or end user.
