TheEDG-4100WandEDG-4110Wserial-to-wireless 802.11b boards feature a compact, 54x59mm design that can fit into almost any legacy OEM serial device and connect it to the wireless Ethernet world, says the vendor. Virtual COMport mapping is provided by both modules for convenient communications with a host PC through an 802.11b wireless network. The inclusion of digital I/O is billed as a competitive advantage over similar modules. Additional features include high speed transmissions, at 230kbps; TCP/IP protocol, Microsoft Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/2003 drivers; RS-232 or RS-433/485 interfaces; and eight universal digital inputs/outputs. Pricing starts at $250.
