Features include full-duplex capability on all ports, IGMP Snooping, port mirroring, VLAN, auto-negotiation and manually configurable speed/duplex, wire-speed switching fabric, SNMP for switch management, and IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol (STP). Bennet Levine, R&D manager at the vendor, says the switches meet all the required and recommended EtherNet/IP switch features stated in a presentation written by Rockwell Automation Inc., and adds that the switches are not limited only to features provided by Rockwell. “Our company provides port locking, rate limiting RapidRing redundancy and port monitoring,” Levine says.
