Kollmorgen will exhibit its industry-leading motion solutions for food and beverage manufacturers in booth B7861 of the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), January 27 – 29, 2015, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Visitors to the Kollmorgen booth can expect live demos that illustrate how the company’s AKMH Hygienic Servo motors deliver improved productivity and higher throughput as a result of reduced maintenance and longer component life.
Specifically, Kollmorgen will demonstrate the AKMH motor, highlighting its flexibility as a retrofit for legacy and/or competitor servo motors. Designed for easy connection to a wide variety of drives, the AKMH removes the need (and related cost) of replacing an existing drive while providing additional durability and cleanability in wash-down environments. IPPE attendees can see AKMH IP69K Hygienic Servo motors, AQT IP69K AquaTRUETM Gearboxes and AKMH IP69K linear actuators in action throughout the expo.
As part of the IPPE Technology XChange, Kollmorgen will present “Improving Cleanability Through Hygienic Design of Food Machinery Components” on Tuesday, January 27, 3:30 – 3:50 pm in Hall B. Speaker Bill Sutton is a Kollmorgen Market Development Manager and subject matter expert. Sutton is an electrical engineer with more than 25 years of programming, design and sales/marketing experience.
“Providing precision electrical components that can withstand harsh wash-down environments is a challenge,” said Bill Sutton. “Our presentation will encompass what we’ve learned through interviews with 100+ food processing companies, as well as the ongoing development of machine drivetrain components that are functional, reliable, and highly cleanable – and how these components add value to food processing/packaging machinery.
IPPE attendees are invited to visit booth B7861 to discuss application needs and learn more about how Kollmorgen can help them achieve desired results.
