New liquid-based BSI inclination sensors detect deviations to the horizontal on an axis over a full 360 degrees, contact-free and absolutely. With accuracy of 0.1°C, a resolution of 0.01° and a temperature drift of just 0.01%/10K, these sensors are suited for complex applications in which inclination angles need to be precisely detected or rotary movements must be constantly tracked. According to the company, these sensors show their true strength where deviations from the horizontal or to the vertical axis are to be determined with high resolution and accuracy, such as in wind power stations, solar-thermal power plants, and oil and gas production plants.

The sensors are based on a capacitive measuring principle and are equipped with a liquid-based measuring cell. The analog output signal from 4 – 20mA is scaled linearly over the angular range of 360°C. The compact and robust metal housing has an enclosure rating of IP 67. The operating temperature range is -40°C to + 85°C, making the sensors suitable for outdoor applications.
