GS1 Connect™ 2015, the annual conference and exhibit hosted by GS1 US, will inspire attendees to examine business processes with the theme “Innovate. Collaborate. Transform.” The event marks the 15th anniversary of GS1 Connect, and will be held May 31 - June 4, 2015 at the JW Marriott in Austin, Texas.
GS1 Connect draws more than 1,200 attendees each year from a variety of specialties including supply chain management, data quality, compliance, and information technology to explore how GS1 Standards can eliminate inefficiencies and drive growth. The conference consists of four industry tracks—Retail, Healthcare, Foodservice and Grocery—as well as a Standards and Solutions track. This year, each session will focus on the innovation, collaboration and market transformation made possible through industry-wide adoption and use of GS1 Standards, the most widely used supply chain standards in the world.
“For 15 years, GS1 Connect has been a leading trading partner collaboration event where thought leaders and industry stakeholders gather to share practical ideas and best practices for leveraging GS1 Standards in supply chain operations. This year’s theme reflects the power GS1 Standards have across several industries to mitigate disruptive forces, improve business processes and boost bottom lines in today’s ever-changing environment,” said Bob Carpenter, president and CEO, GS1 US.
In addition to the five main conference tracks, GS1 US offers GS1 US University, a pre-conference educational curriculum for those looking to build their foundational knowledge of GS1 Standards and maximize the conference program. The conference will also feature a “Collaboration Day,” offering attendees extended opportunities to connect with GS1 Standards experts, trading partners and solutions providers by networking in the exhibit hall, and attending “How to Do Business With” sessions, trading partner roundtables, industry initiative meetings and standards clinics.
