3D Systems Corp. announced that it has taken the next step in its partnership with the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute (NAMII), the federal initiative to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. industry, with the delivery of two leading production grade additive manufacturing printers to the innovation center located in Youngstown, Ohio.

The institute is financed by $30 million in federal funding, matched by $40 million from a private industry consortium and is designed to serve a three-state area: Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. It is the first of several planned regional hubs of manufacturing innovation designed to be world-class centers for applied research, technology incubation, and technology commercialization.
