Future Engineers Visit Pack Expo with Mentor

Pack Expo 2012 in Chicago hosted thousands of packaging industry professionals, as well as some on their way to joining the ranks.

Automation World Publisher Jim Chrzan (standing) sponsored a lunch at Pack Expo Chicago 2012 for two Homestead High School students from Mequon, WI.

Future engineers Ellie Bettridge and Jenna Burns were escorted through the show by mentor Doug Burns of automation vendor GE Intelligent Platforms. The three discussed mechatronics, robotics and packaging automation while at the show.

This was expected to be the largest show inPack Expohistory, with more than 1,800 exhibitors, 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space and record-setting registration numbers.

Pack Expo will be held in Las Vegas in 2013.
