Redundancy Module Carries Current of Two 40 Amp Supplies

The YR80.241 is the first dual input 24 VDC, 40 A MOSFET redundancy module that is continuously rated for 80 A.

Aw 13811 1211np Puls

This current rating allows the unit to carry the current of two 40-amp supplies without damage even under overload or short circuit conditions. This dual input 80 A unit has a width of only 46 mm as compared to other 40 A modules that require two units to complete the redundancy circuit; this saves valuable panel space. The company also offers a 24 VDC, 20 A dual input redundancy module that is fully rated for 40 A and is only 36 mm wide. Combining the redundancy module with the company's QT40.241 power supply makes it possible to fit a complete three-phase 24 VDC, 40 A 1+1 redundancy circuit in just 266 mm of space - the space of some 40 A three-phase supplies. A single phase 40 A redundant circuit can be mounted in the same fashion and only takes up 296 mm of panel space. The redundancy units use MOSFETs instead of diodes, are short circuit proof, are protected against reverse polarity and feature low voltage and power losses.
