New Packaging for Herbal Supplements Uses 97% PCR Plastic

Nature’s Way debuts a square bottle for its 300-item herbal line that is made from 97% PCR HDPE. The packaging is expected to reuse 3,500 tons of plastic per year.

According to the company, its aim over the last several years has been to contribute to less waste and recycle all the materials it can by diverting more than 70% of waste to recycling facilities. The company says it continues to make sustainability improvements, and the new sustainable packaging, made of old milk jugs, is another example of how Nature’s Way is achieving that goal. This initiative is expected to reuse 3,500 tons of plastic annually.

The new packaging is being rolled out over the next few months and will be available at Sprouts, Kroger, Whole Foods Market, Publix, Wakefern, and CVS stores, as well as at local natural grocery stores, co-ops, and online retailers like Amazon.
